Sales Trend Analyser Optimises Stock on Hand

Do you run hundreds of lines of products and want an easier way to ensure that you keep enough stock on hand to meet demand, but don't tie up money with unnecessary stock?  Our Sales Trend Analysis Tool (STAT) is the answer.

The way it works is straightforward:

  • You choose a supplier
  • You select some or all stock items from that supplier to be analysed
  • By looking at average per-month sales over the last year, asking you for the number of months of supply you wish to keep on hand and taking lead times into account, a set of min and max stock quantities per-location will be presented.
  • Click 'Save' to record this in Exo
  • Fire up the Forecast Based Purchasing tool in Exo to raise all your purchase orders for the correct quantities automatically

The Business Issue

Sanat Shah from Minchin Australia, a purveyor of tobacco and giftware products, was spending a lot of time re-ordering products, and not always with a good degree of accuracy.  With over 2000 line items, Sanat found that going through each product manually and re-ordering took his entire weekend!

The Solution

Sanat had already engaged KKL in the development of his WebB2B ecommerce front end for Exonet, so were familiar with their work.  He suspected there must be a better way to do the re-ordering and was very interested in the STAT tool as it seemed to address his needs for easier re-ordering.
After giving the go ahead for implementation, specifying his particular needs, and going through the roll out and testing phase, STAT is now up and running well.

Licensing

Sales Trend Analysis Tool is licensed on a per-EXO database basis.  One license is required for each EXO database and user.  Fees apply for all installation, configuration, customisation and upgrade work.

  • $1995 for the product (includes a single user)
