EXO comes with a set of pretty basic reports.  You might change them around a little to meet your requirements, but essentially it's pretty basic information.  The management reporting tool is a slight improvement, but even that is limited in the information it can provide.

KKL can help you to get access to your data, exactly how you want it.  We can do regular Clarity reports for you (especially the really tricky ones that your reseller might not be able to do), but we also specialise in setting up live Excel pivot reports for you, allowing you to see and rearrange your data a hundred times faster and more flexibly than Clarity.

Excel Reporting

You may not realise it, but the copy of Excel installed on your computer is a powerhouse of live, dynamic reporting.  Imagine if you could get up-to-the-second financial data whenever you wanted it.  Imagine if we gave you control over all the information in you EXO database, so that you can just think of something you would like to know, eg:

  • Who is my best salesperson for a particular supplier?
  • What is my revenue trend chart for the entire history of my company?
  • Which stock group is the best performing?
  • What's my running total of sales to overseas accounts?

And a few seconds after you've thought of your question, you have the answer!  You can see it for all time, or just the current month.  You can see it as a chart or as a table of data.  All it takes is Excel, some time from KKL and half an hour of training.

Clarity Reporting

Clarity is the built-in reporting tool that comes with MYOB EXO.  So, often it's most convenient if your reports are implemented as Clarity reports so that you can access them easily from within EXO.

However, there are some reports that are very difficult to do in Clarity.  In fact your reseller may have told you that it's impossible!  However, we can do it.

Cross tabs, pivots, moving averages, last-12-months views are all report types that are better done using Clarity in conjunction with sophisticate database server techniques.

Web Reports

KKL can take your reports online using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).  SSRS even comes with the free SQL Server version, SQL Server Express.

Moving a report online involves a complete recreation of the report, but once it is on the web you can access it anywhere, and if you have the right edition of SSRS you can even get the reports emailed to you on a regular basis.
